The Fernleigh (established) and re-opened by the Washington and Pownall family in 1988 is a mid-terrace Victorian House. It is a majestic 5 stories tall, and stands in an enviable position, looking out over Peel Bay, Peel Castle and beyond to the open Irish sea.
The 12 guest bedrooms, lounge and dining room are all tastefully decorated with Victorian features and original paintings of local surroundings. This makes for a warm and comfortable atmosphere along with the quirky little bits that come with a house of over 100 years old.
We are a family run establishment and have provided a continued level of high service by 4 generations, Mr and Mrs John and Bess Washington, Mr and Mrs June and David Pownall and daughters Rachel and Rebecca and our latest recruit Brandon our grandson. This has seen us to our 25th Year in 2013!
We want to look after you because we like to, not because we have to.
BREAKFAST
They say that breakfast is the best way to start the day, and breakfast at the Fernleigh is definitely worth getting out of bed for.

The award-winning hearty menu changes every day, and includes a broad selection of hot and cold vegetarian options such as: stuffed mushrooms, bagels with cream cheese, vegetarian sausages and Staffordshire oatcakes (if you don't know what they are, then you are in for a treat) which may even tempt the meat eaters, and of course the famous Manx Kippers.

All our food is home-prepared and cooked and using the finest locally sourced ingredients.
